Commuter rail operator Southeastern launches new website.
Southeastern has launched a new interactive website, www.southeasternrailway.co.uk, which will help make finding out about current and new services and offers easier than ever and so improve passengers' travel experience. The website contains new and innovative functions, providing a one-stop-shop for the 8,000 daily users. Southeastern worked with creative agency Tobias & Tobias to develop the new website. Sarah Boundy, Head of Customer Services, commented, 'The new website is an important development for us at Southeastern, providing our passengers with even greater choice and information. To be able to access all of the information on our services and promotions as well as buy rail tickets online is providing the one-stop-shop experience that they require.' The new website will allow passengers to look up train times and for the first time buy tickets to anywhere in the UK. The search and booking system will also allow all passengers starting their journey in South East London, Kent and parts of East Sussex to collect their tickets from any Southeastern ticket machine. Passengers will also be able to use an interactive map showing current and future services and also find out the latest information on their regular journeys as well a sign up for SMS and email alerts in the event of major disruption. Information is also available on the UK's first High Speed service being launched in December, as well as current Mainline and Metro services.
